Nitemind is back ON CANAL, with a revamped series of “video paintings” by founder, Michael Potvin. The exhibition is comprised of a 15-channel video installation, on the south side of the Canal St in the 2nd-floor windows, seen best from across the street. This public art piece is on view 24 hours a day and appears as though Potvin is watching passersby, under constant surveillance, perhaps judging them?
Nitemind is a group of artists, founded by Michael Potvin, using technology and physical space to create immersive and interactive installations. Their work uses light as a medium, including laser beams, video-mapped LED, and software art in combination with ephemeral sculpture and site-specific installations.
