Hailing from the Dominican Republic, NYC based Alina Landry Rancier is a filmmaker, video and motion graphics artist. Her video art work has been presented in galleries, fairs, and museums in New York City, Miami, and Santo Domingo. Her short films and video art pieces have screened in galleries and festivals in New York City, Marfa, Berlin, London, Miami & Santo Domingo.
Her films and video art are concerned with human behavior and the influence love and loss have on its metamorphosis. Within this, the exploration of fear and its influence on humanity remain her central focus, her compositions a reflection of a desire to document and reveal its impact on our characters. She strives to both expose and demystify the way we relate to our inner selves and the rest of humanity.
